COVID-19 Response

Founded in 1972, The Community Intervention Center’s mission has always been to help those most in need in Lackawanna County. Today, in this crazy world as we know it, we are doing our best to continue this mission. We are still open. We are still serving those most in need.
We had to change somethings to protect our clients as well as our staff BUT we are still open and plan to remain open. However, please remember that things change on a daily basis. What we can do today, we may not be able to do tomorrow. Does anyone really know what tomorrow holds? As we all try to navigate this virus, we at The Community Intervention Center are doing the best we can.
We are so grateful to those who have kept us in your thoughts to this point with all of the coffee, cream and sugar donations. Things we are always looking for. If you have a question on services being provided or donations that we can or can not accept, please CALL the agency PRIOR to coming. We had to stop accepting many of our regular donations. Be safe every and remember 6 feet apart. Social Distancing is so import at this time.
